OCIA

Mission

The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) at St. Cornelius with St. Elizabeth Mission is the Catholic Church's formal process for helping Catholic and non-Catholic adults become fully initiated members of the Body of Christ. Its mission is to guide individuals through structured journey of faith formation, leading then to Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.

Purpose

OCIA introduces adults to the Catholic faith in a supportive group setting and helps seekers discern whether they wish to become Catholic members.

Goal

Prepare candidates for the sacraments of initiation through prayer, study, and community life.
